ELEMAE „Sleeping With Adrenaline“ (ignition) 7” 0,50

Sleeping With Adrenaline’ is the sort of song that on one listen
creates an instant appeal and a need to own the record! The song is,
in short a perfect emotional rock song, charged with energy, fluid in
melody and both hard-hitting and warm in sound. The same use of powerful
drumming and riffing in which Elemae are clearly a dab-hand is more
apparent than ever but this time the band have come up with a melody
that’s catchier and more satisfying to the listener than ever.
The fact that they have rather smartly nailed the way mixing old and
new styles should be executed leaves so many other alternative, indie-rock
and retro bands alike behind, scratching their heads at how exactly
they’ve pulled this off. The songs utilises a modern indie-rock
song structure backed with echoing drumming and almost haunting, retro
sounding keyboards that hit home with powerful chord progressions instead
of relying on jangly pop melody. The song, that leaves you aching for
more, is little over 2 minutes and after one play anyone listening will
frankly be spellbound and will have to play it again. The B-side features
the highlight track taken from their previous record. ‘Science
Kit’ upholds the same identity that makes Elemae so appealing,
powerful, deep harmonies moulding memorable versus that build into soaring,
vocal lead choruses that fly through the roof once they reach their
climax. The song is more on the melodic hardcore side, fusing spread
harmony guitars with layered stop-start drums however it remains addictive,
smooth and powerful throughout never losing sight of an easy to follow
format but boasting an incredible, soaring, goose-bump making chorus
to keep you on your toes. Formidable song-structures and accomplished
music is what the likes of Jimmy Eat World, Sensefield and Elliott are
finally being recognised for, a trademark that Elemae are fast to prove
they are just as eligible for with a single that is sure to get them
the attention they deserve.

Fast and raw yet very melodic and emotive punk rock outta germany; this
is one really good german HC record! The emotions it displays and the
very political lyrics (huge booklet inside) make this even better! One
record that hasn’t left my player in days! This five piece out
of Göttingen/Germany plays an emotional kind of PUNK. Musically
in the vein of Leatherface/ Jawbreaker and bands like Rites of Spring
and Embrace they perform here 8 little bombs, full of honestly emotionally
( and I mean really emotionally and not this whinny American rockstar
stadium rock shit) two fingers in the air power punk. The record includes
a really fat booklet with English translations of their personal politic
lyrics.

here it is, the definitive encyclopedia of american traitors discography
cd. Encyclopedia of American traitors arose like a phoenix and blazed
a trail across north America during their 1887 summer tour. Included
on this cd is both 6”s, the split 6” with kwisatz haderach,
the split 6” with orchid as well as comp tracks and a bonus black
Sabbath cover at the end. All told, fourteen tracks of their raging,
crazed, technical, in your face, spazz out political hardcore. Sounds
like if Honeywell could play their instruments and played metal.

finland’s endstand unleash their third full length on day after.
“Never fall into silence” gives the listener ten songs of
fast, aggresive but catchy hardcore with a melodic edge and an intense
vocalist. Endstand are similar to Kid Dynamite, Strike Anywhere and
Nerve Agents, and lyrically well thought. With the new album, endstand
manage to capture their live energy on record.
